This only the second bird that's ever flew to my hand ....and early too
Cool thing to see though

Cookie is very cute.

Our GCC used to fly to us all the time. Her wings are now clipped, but she still manages to stick to us like glue.

Most GCC'S will fly to their owner when called. This is recall & if trained to come to you on command the chances of getting an escapee to fly back to you is good odds.

I recall train all my babies.

Any link to how to do this or should I Google it ?

We have 6 week old baby budgies right now that fly to us any chance they get and so does our black capped conure :)

You can google free flight training and recall training, birdtricks.com also has a very nice free flight training program.

That is too cute!!! Great job Cookie!!!

Too cute!!! Loki (He's 1.5yo) isn't able to fly, but he often decides he's sick of waiting for us and attempts to fly and glide to the floor or doesn't even attempt and will simply climb down his cage or perch and try to find us.

Yesterday he decided he didn't want to attempt going down the stairs (something he's done several times with no issue) and instead we found him perched on the footboard of our daughters bed.

I'd love to teach him to recall, but we've never done it, so I'm not sure how to do it. But with bringing home a second bird in a few weeks, it'd be nice to teach them both.
