I was thinking about all the different species of parrots I have fallen in love with and began to make a mental list in my head of my favorites that I don't currently have in my flock but would love to if I could have any bird or as many birds as I wanted!

What birds are on your birdie wish/dream list?

Here are mine:

Amazon (they are growing on me and I am more intrigued the more I see them here on the forum! Question is, which sub species are the "friendliest"?)
Alexandrine/Indian Ringneck
Caique
Sun or Jenday Conure
Hyacinth Macaw (I know, that one is on everyone's list! LOL!)
Blue Throated Macaw

UPDATE: Forgot Plum Headed Parakeet!

Ok, now it's your turn, let's see those lists as long or as short as they may be!

NOT that I have *any* intention of getting another bird, and strictly hypothetically speaking:

-Major Mitchell's
-Toucan

Again, this is a dream list. Doesn't mean you have plans to run out and get them anytime soon, if at all! My hubby would kill me if I fulfilled my list! LOL!

Great choices Kiwibird! ;)

Blanca , I think you should let your husband know [sadly enough]. That you have become a "Bird person " and their will be more birds :) You cant be confined to a number [but maybe a room :)]he he

If he hasn't already figured it out, he must be blind! ;)

And you are right, there will be more. Even if I have to wait until the kids go to college!;) There is no confining us is there Terri! ;)

Oh my list is too long! I'd need to buy a couple of houses first:)

If we're throwing all logic out the window:

Red fronted macaw
Male eclectus
Lilac crowned Amazon
Blue crowned conure
Sun conure

Indian Ringneck (check!)
Ducorps Cockatoo
Pionus
Camelot Macaw
Myna

My ultimate dream bird is a Black Cockatoo, however they are endangered.
My list is a bit odd lol.

My list would be a
B/G Mac (wife said once we get a larger house for the size cage they need I have the green light) :)

Dusky Pionus (the wife and I fell in love with a baby, but it was sold and the local breeder was retiring there birds. Would be on our has list. Haven't seen them since 2010)

Male Eclectus

Camelot Macaws(i know hybrids are looked down on but I just love the colors on these guys)

Rosella

Blue Turquoises Indian RingNeck (would have one if it wasnt for the state making them illegal)

Peking ducks (had some as a kid and they were awesome)
