I ran out of newspaper at home the other day and kept forgetting to bring some home from work. So I found the next best thing....wrapping paper! LOL!

It actually worked rather well in a pinch. I wasn't to fond of this design anyway. LOL!

LMAO @ "For Quincy's cage I turned it upside down so that the design wouldn't freak him out." TOO funny! What a great idea!! I ran out of regular newspaper once and ended up having to use nothing but super small advertisements. I was NOT happy about that. Spent an extra 15 minutes on my hands and knees getting the big cages lined with it. The wrapping paper is a great idea! We also finally bought some of that brown packing paper. Alex cut that to size for me once and I LOVED it. Have to convince him to do it again - it was a life saver, and it made the cleanup in the morning go so much faster, too. :)

I use the Uhaul wrapping paper. The 25 pound box size sheets fit perfectly in my Mac cages!

I absolutely hate using the advertisements to cover the cage bottoms with. Such a pain! So I'm with you on that one! I wonder if the brown wrapping paper you are talking about is the same stuff I use from Uhaul? The Uhaul wrapping paper is just blank newspaper basically.

If you live near any newspaper printers, I bet you could contact wherever their presses are, and pick up ends of rolls of newsprint! There are actually many feet on the roll when it gets too short for web offset, so it would probably be free, and quite handy to keep around!

Lol, thats what I've been using in Foo's cage since X-mas. I ran out of paper, but realized I had years worths of wrapping paper in the attic.
