I am just new here and I thought I would post this question. I have 8 bird buddies. 3 are flighted, I have let 2 of them become flighted after they were clipped as babies and I recently added an Alexandrine who is flighted. I have 2 separated areas for the fliers and non-fliers. What I am finding is that the non-fliers get less attention from me due to having to monitor the fliers. My crimson bellied conure, who is my favourite and is flighted, is now restricted to less time out due to him thinking he is a giant cockatoo or macaw. He will challenge all the birds except my Australian King, who I think he has a secret crush on. It is not safe for him or the others to let him out until some are put back in their cages. Right now, all the birds except the Australian King have had their time out reduced, so I am seriously thinking about clipping either the conure or the Alex or both. I am really struggling with this as the conure can now come to me when he wants and the Alex has never been clipped. This will be a huge adjustment for him. I have limited time to let them out...from about 3 pm to 6 pm, as it is getting darker here now. I am open to any suggestions. Thanks a bunch, Helena:)

Hello Helena and welcome from a fellow GCC and CBC parront who also has other birds. You have a real dilemma. My CBC is basically flighted but my GCC is not nor is their parakeet little buddy. It is not unusual for them all to be on same human. But since that isn't working for you if you don't have a separate flight room option, I think you are going to have to clip the aggressor and from your post that sounds like the CBC. Hopefully other forum members will weigh in...and perhaps with better/different advice.
