I have been putting jinx to bed at 9 on a night as he is up at half 9 on a morning for his feeding is that to early to put him to bed or is that a good time? And so I'm wondering what time is bed time for your fids on a night?

I think that sounds good. They should get about 12 hours of sleep at night. Ours go to be around 8- 8:30 and get up around 8a.m. This changes in the winter though, they like to eat at dusk and go to bed once dinner is done. So in the winter they will go to bed around 6:30p. I have been enjoying the summer, I get extra time with them. :D

Great weight for Jinx, Paul! :D

All of mine get "tucked in" at 8:30PM and morning cage maintenance begins at 8:00AM. :)

Within minutes of lights off in the evening all I hear is grinding beaks. Too funny.

Ohhh jinx doesn't go to sleep right away he always seems to think its playtime lol and i know if I can keep him between 410 or 510 grams I'll be happy. :)

I put mine to bed at 9:00 pm and they get uncovered around 7:00-7:30 am before we leave for work. My GCC gives us a fit at bedtime. He doesn't scream or screech at any other time but as soon as you cover him up he starts. It goes on anywhere from 2 minutes to 20 minutes. He would rather stay up all night!

15 minutes after dark for mine. And most are up with me at day light. Except Jake who likes to help me make coffee before daylight.

Mine go to bed max 9/9:30, sometimes they put themselves to bed at 7 lol. :) I wake up at 7, but as hard as i try to let them sleep they want in on the action lol. They take about an hour nap everyday. :)

Carla goes into her bedroom cage when it gets dark. We don't have daylight savings time here in Hawaii so it's always around 6:30 to 7:00 pm. Sometimes she stays up a little later, but not much. She wakes up around 8:00 and starts moving around in her cage. We bring her out onto her daytime cage for breakfast and let her climb around as she wants during the day.

My birds are cockateils. At night they are not covered but in a dark room with a night light. Bed time is about 10pm.They sometimes nap during the day but are active in the morning regardless of bedtime. The nightlight seems to help prevent night crashes. And since they share there room with a nocturnal african clawed frog it works well for everyone. Froggins is the about 8 inches long. He likes to stand on tippy toes and watch the birds. If my male birds sing at night Froggins answers them. Then the dwarf frog who is smaller than a quarter at adult size starts singing. He sounds like a very angry housefly. So all I hear at night is an occasionally squawk, errpp erppp bzz bzz.
It's sort of like a mini jungle I Love it.

Ours are in bed around 9-10 pm. But I'm up at 6 am getting the boys on the. Us and go back to sleep til around 9 and some days I have a nap and it's quiet. It's a little broken but all together they seem healthy, happy and well rested!

Chichi always chatters and says "gimme kiss" with kissy noises before bed. He runs right to his happy hut as soon as the light goes out. He chatters from inside. But the IRN just sleeps on perches. :)

I cover Basil up between 730 and 8 and uncover him around 730. Our daylight hours are becoming shorter and I wonder if that will affect his sleep when there are more hours of darkness. Basil is in the family room and the family is often up past then but usually we would be getting kids to bed upstairs or my husband would be (quietly because the bird is asleep) watching TV. Is that enough sleep for him? He has a really big cage so it would be difficult to move him to another room and I like having him in the traffic area during the day so he can be close to us.

Mishka goes to bed at 8pm...... sleeps in my bedroom in his night cage.
During the week we awake at 5am, and weekends about 7am or 8am.
He seems happy with 9 hours sleep.

Audrey's bedtime is 9-10pm at latest and she wakes up around 9-9:30. She sometimes takes a nap in the afternoon. She will also sometimes put herself to bed earlier haha :)

My sun gets nippy at 8pm every night to tell us he's tired. I put him to bed and he wakes up at 7am, no matter how late I try to sleep :)

Eeep reading all this here it looks like i need to make some changes!
Mine are put to bed around 22.00/22.30 and wake up around 8.30...

Scottie especially is used to it, he usually stays up till 23.00 or so because he gets to snuggle in bed with me for a while till my other half comes to bed and puts him back in his cage first...

Mine go to bed at dusk & are up at dawn.
