Hello all, I was wondering, what kind of pet owner are you? :D So I am the pet owner that if the pet is happy, im happy. A lot of people cannot stand the poop. But I don't care, when I had Joey (he passed away on Tuesday) when he would come out of his cage inside, he would leave pooplets around and I really didn't care, obviously I pick them up! But poop just doesn't bother me or the mess. I always clean up and disinfect about every day, but some people can not handle it. And I understand. But what about you? Do you care about the mess? What do you do with your pets? Are they living the life :D I bet they are! Pets are amazing things and I so love having mine! So this is just a fun question for y'all! What kind of pet owner are you and do you have any fun cute stories of your pets!

first, I don't really care about the mess. I clean the cages everyday and clean the mess they make several times a day, but it are pets (especially parrots make a big mess of course) :D MY CAG goes often outside with me, into the park we walk for like an hour, then when we come home he can eat some fruit and sit on his tree. My illiger's isn't that easy to take with you, since he likes to bite my ear when he's on my shoulder. So I'll have to take him on my arm. But after all, I think they're really happy, just like their owner :D

Once you've cleaned a dirty diaper....cleaning up after a pet is easy (my opinion).

I am pretty sure that 95% of the people on this site have pets that live the life of Riley. If you are willing to put in the time on a site like this to educate yourself and help educate others, you are likely a pretty dedicated pet owner.

Oh ya I know that everyone on here is a great pet owner! :D Zirstonas: That sounds so relaxing :) I love walking with the fids :)

In regards to poop, how I deal on it depends on the animal. Kiwi is potty trained since he is capable of learning to go potty in designated areas. Why NOT potty train him? Of course, I am never upset if he has an accident, but I prefer not to have him pooping all over. When Tiffany (my bearded dragon) was alive, she was not the kind of pet who could be potty trained. She got to hang out on a towel or hard floor where it was no problem to clean up when she went. Leo the leopard gecko goes almost like clockwork once a day at the same time, so I just don't take him out around 9pm (the poor old man). I don't have children, but I have changed diapers before. I guess with kids, it's only 2 years you have to deal with it before you start potty training them and barring the occasional accident while their learning, it's over with. I'm not sure if I could handle dog or cat poop though. That's over a decade of cleaning stinky poop every day (and in a bag for dogs?!). Um, no thanks, just not for me!
