what is you're birds favorite food im mostly concentrating on fruit and veg. i want to see if there are any traits between the same species.

for me my budgies favorite fruit or veg is silverbeat. he even prefers it over seed (millet) which is surprising

as for my lorikeet his favorite is green seedless grapes but apple and corn come in a close second

Max's favorite food is apples and Cream of Wheat. He'd wash my car if I paid him with apples and CoW.

Ruby's favorite food is sprouts...she passes up nuts and seeds for sprouts. Her 2nd favorite food is everything but cherries.

Jade's favorite food is sugar snap peas...she loves to open the pods and eat the peans individually, then eating the pods.

archie our alexandrine parrot loves anything lol vincent our macaw is only round 6 month old mark so hes still learning what he likes

angel LOVES oranges, grapes and peppers
mimsy loves brussel sprouts and soaed pulses
rocky loves walnuts the best
mossy loves to eat carrot
and willow loves kale and grapes
the finches go wild for mashed up boiled eggs
the budgies love lettuce and apple
the redrumps and rosellas love spinach leaves

the amount of fruit and veg i buy, everyone thinks i'm so healthy, they never believe me when i say its for the birds!!

Echo will do just about anything for a walnut. He is mister picky pants so I will give him birdie bread to sneak in the good stuff

Tobi loves anything and everything. He is still young at 6 months of age but if it's edible he will gladly eat it.

Charlie will do anything for a bit of almond and the only veg he actually enjoys are red/yellow/orange peppers. he enjoys his beak appetite in the morning as well. He quite likes apples but is not allowed to have them right now because he (maybe a she) is hormonal and apparently limited fruit is what's called for. Oh and he quite likes his pellets too, they are Harrison's.

Poncho is crazy for Cheerio's, he will eat it like he has never eaten before...his favorite fruit is apple and he hates oranges.
Bailey's favorite is red grapes without the skin, when Bailey first came to us he loved, loved, loved shelled peanuts but we are skeptical of the peanut so he no longer gets them as a treat. They both adore oatmeal and I must say it is the cutest to watch them eat it from the spoon and having to wipe it from the beaks...my babies xoxo

Ozzy loves red seedless grapes and dried papaya. He also enjoys the dried herbs (cant remember the brand name right now). But his most favorite food in the world is pistachio nuts.

My Goffin likes sugar snap peas, almonds (she doesn't get as many as she would like lol) broccoli, & corn (has to be peaches & cream or any sweet corn) the most!
She's not a huge fruit eater as of yet, but I keep trying!

I have a yellow-nape Amazon who loves walnuts but will eat most other things with relish as well (excitement, not pickle relish!). She used to be crazy about peanuts in the shell, until I learned that it's not wise to feed her those due to mold in the shell. Some of her other favorite foods include tofu, red pepper, veggies with a little tahini salad dressing (she'll eat them plain too, but throws them away in anger if she sees me eating a salad with dressing), apple, pasta, corn on the cob. She used to love broccoli and would say "broccoli!" when she wanted food, but then at some point decided that she didn't like broccoli anymore, and also stopped saying the word. Weirdly, I too went from loving broccoli to being wary of it, about a year later... but I'm digressing! I give her dates as treats, because she loves them but I'm concerned about the high sugar content.

Obviously she loves sweet foods like tapioca pudding, banana bread, apple crisp, etc. but those are a very rare treat. I am more or less on a macrobiotic diet and don't eat much added sugars, and when I do make desserts they tend not to be very sweet. This is good for my bird as well as for my health, because we have almost the same diet! She always has pellet food in her cage, but I also give her a little bit of every meal or snack I have. If I didn't she would have a fit. So with this arrangement, we keep each other healthy.

Another thing I've just remembered is that she loves garlic. Whenever she sees me peeling garlic in the kitchen she gets very excited and starts screaming for me to give her some. One time I was peeling it with her on my shoulder, and she jumped over and snatched the clove out of my hand and tore into it, devouring the whole thing and squealing with delight. She did, of course, reek of garlic for the next day. Now I make sure to hide around the corner when I peel garlic, so she doesn't know.

I think you are not gonna eat food. The food which is liked by your bird and also proves suitable should be yours favorite for your bird.

Cheerios eh? So I need not worry about my mom giving the Amazon granola bars?

There was a classic experiment a few decades ago where a group of mice were fed cheerios, and another group were fed the box. The first group died. The second group did well.

Mines fave foods are cheerios and brocolli and sweet potatoes and hard boiled eggs and I do believe they would sell their souls for hard boiled eggs LOL !!!

My Indian Ringneck is my garbage disposal but prefers fresh to cooked. He especially loves Apple, Almonds and Mealworms.
My Fischer's Lovebird is still young (maybe 8 weeks) and learning what she likes but she doesnt like red milo, dried corn and too many wheat or sunflower seeds cause they are littering her floor as we speak. I have had to get her new seed mix.
The Tiel loves the new Bird Crumbles that I got. I think it's Passwell brand or something.
