What is this behavior?

Sometimes Yoshi will just sit down in my hand. I've read that if they back up onto you it can be a sexual behavior, but he doesn't really back up, just sits down. (Don't know his sex for sure, just call him a him)

When he's sitting like that, he gets calmer than normal and just kinda chills, but he'll twitch his wings slightly and he'll make the smallest little peeps. I have a video, but I can't figure out how to put it up on here, but here's a picture.

My Misha will sit on my hand and fluff up and wing twitch and peep, he only does it when he's really happy or sleepy, so I guess its just another way to snuggle? Yoshi looks a little awkward in that picture though

My green cheek does the same thing....also he slightly beaks between my thumb and index finger. Loves doing that. I don't think it is sexual and he mostly does it just before it is time for bed. I think they are just chilling and it is a compliment they want to spend their pre bedtime with us.

Ya, he's not uncomfortable at all, cause he sat just like that for about 20 mins more than just one time. So I guess he likes me (yay!). It only took a month, and now I'm on vacation, so I hope he feels the same way when I get back

Yoshi still looks very young? How old is he/she?

Mishka my African Grey, almost lays down on a hot water bottle, he gets so comfortable often falls asleep like that.

Hes a little over a year old. How can you tell that he looks young.

My three month old sun does this. We call the chirps the "happy baby" noises as she only makes it when she is really content.

I wish mine would just sit on my hand. She climbs into my shirt and sits on the top edge of my bra and pokes her head out. Its a bit weird... but I'm getting used to it. If she's happy I'm not going to argue. Half the time she falls asleep like that.
