What is FUNNIEST or most OUTRAGEOUS thing your parrot says?

One of my birds Rex a goffin's cockatoo rescued after his previous owners was arrested in a major drug bust.......one of the officers that worked the case had told me about him and where he was being kept so i immediately went to see about adopting him....it took a few months but he finally got to come home with me........he is very talkative but the funniest thing he says is when someone rings the doorbell he says "Oh Sh**.......its the cops, Hide the dope!!!

This reminds me of an article i read a few years back where some of the Columbian drug cartels had been training parrots to alert them to the cops:
Video: Parrot arrested for aiding drug cartel - Telegraph

Poor parrots! I hope they eventually went to better homes where they were taken care of as beloved pets, not just animals that serve a purpose like that.

If I remember correctly, they were turned over to wildlife authorities. The story is a few years old. In that part of the world, they were probably wild caught birds and my hope is they were professionally 'rehabbed' and reintroduced back to nature where they belonged. If nothing else, I'm SURE they went to good homes. When a story makes international news that involves exploited animals, people from all over the planet line up to adopt them.

My Amazon says "Hello" every time the phone rings but the weird part is he recognizes the various ringtones.

His call out to me when I get home is a "Tweet Wheet Meow" Often followed by a singsong repetition of his name Pedro. The meow sounds just like my old cat...

I am not sure if he was taught it or if he picked it up on his own......either way it is funny as hell especially when some of my police and bounty hunter friends drop in for a visit

That would be hilarious to see especially if he talks clearly! So funny I bet that never gets old!

Keep in mind this story is from the late 70's while i was living in Panama as a College student. I often carried a Panama Amazon around with me.Being a college student most nights included parties and bars with lots of alcohol involved. If someone "wolf whistled" (you know, the pretty girl whistle). Floyd (the parrot) would yell out,,"give it up baby". Crude , i know, but pretty funny. I can honestly say i was much luckier with the girls with Floyds help (hence he rarely missed a party). He was also famous for saying, "birds can't talk" when folks would walk up and ask if he could talk.

Teeko doesn't say much (I'll be working on that!) but he's most talkative when I'm preparing his food..
This morning he said "Whatcha doing?" So I replied "Whatchu doing?" like usual.
He then proceeded to lean out toward me with this twinkle in his eye and said, with hilarious inflection;
"..Whatchu doin, baaby?"

A long-billed corella I used to work with/babysit could sing all of "A whole new world" from Aladdin. All of it. His favourite though, was singing Aladdin's part, while somebody else (usually preferred them to be female) sung Jasmine's part.
I have video of it, somewhere, I'll have to dig it up :)

please post the vdeo! :)

Every single one of these posts has had me rolling on the floor with laughter! Oh my goodness!!!!!! Absolutely hilarious, thank you all for the laughs, I needed it!!

I have another funny one... I've had laryngitis for the past several days (I'm rarely sick, so my birds didn't know what to think of this), but when I did manage to utter a word I sounded very different from usual... Now Raven says "hiii" in a most hoarse, gravely tone .

Also nowdays I think he might be using one of his favorite words "vegetable" as a threat. He says it when shooing Griffin away, or when he looks like he's gonna bite me! His warning 'cue word' lol. When he says "vegetable" watch out! He's so funny.

Our quaker doesn't say much but in addition to laughing she also makes a zipper zipping sound. Amusingly she does know a couple of context appropriate things. We realized early on that despite the previous owner NOT using voice commands, she knew STEP UP probably from a previous owner. After she got used to us picking her up (her previous owner pretty much NEVER let her out of the cage) she calls STEP UP to us if she wants up.

I was on my way out the back door (her cage is by the door) and she called "Bye Bye" to me without me even paying attention to her.

Bazinga is our only real talker right now. She mimics laughing, and usually does it when she chases one of the dogs off. The funniest one-timer was when my mother went to pick her up, and shevreached forward like she was going to bite. My mom told her she was a b**ch, and Bazinga said a perfect "Whatever!" She's never said that before, or since then! But her favorite repeat comment always happens when we are cooking or eating, she keeps saying "aww, f**k" as though SHE is on the menu!

My favorite bird quote though was a cockatoo my mom almost adopted. My mom lives in an RV, and this particular bird knew the phrase "HELP! WE'RE IN THE BASEMENT!" Imagine living in an RV with a bird who says that...
