what is a good Lory

I wanted another bird to go with Chico and I wasn't sure what type I wanted. All I want is a colorful bird and it having a possibility of talking.

ok I am only browsing here really I dont have time to talk but I wouldnt a Lorikeet to ANYONE as a pet and I dont know about Lorys but i hear they are very much alike. I love my Lorikeet to death but he really isnt a good pet.... Also a Lory or Lorikeet propbably wouldnt get along with your GCC as they are comepletely different birds and lorikeets and lorys are very aggressive I would love to talk to you more but I can right now email me if you wanna talk about this my email is [email protected]

My lorry is very aggressive towards my other birds .I have to have him out by himself or he will try to attack everyone [even the Macaw]. Maybe look into another conure. mine get along with each other.

Lories can make great pets, but they are something special! They have a liquid diet, which means they have liquid poo... and some lories have learned the habit of poop shooting! (other species of parrots have as well, but lories are probably one of the best known species for this behavior!)

They are messy birds and it's a different kind of mess! They are like a two year old on a sugar high! They're bouncing, rolling, rummaging, exploring, etc! They can indeed be great pets but you need to be prepared for a wild child!!!

I have a black lory and we love him to bits....yes the poop shooting due to their diet as they are diet specific birds so that's one major thing you need to understand is their diet!!!! No they don't play well with others, but to me he's a great pet bird! He's extremely loving and always want to be with us no matter what. I have all kinds of birds and there is none like him and that's what makes him special.
