Val's fine, thank heavens! He and Fang both have a bad habit of sneaking into Lilly's cage to steal her food. Usually she doesn't care but just on this one particular occasion she did. Needless to say we all now have eyes in the backs of our heads watching out for the little terrorist now and she is caged when she can't be supervised!

My female U2 escape again while at work last week through food door and she bit it and throw it to ground a 3k diagnosis bidirectional scanner had on the shelf charging. I had to replace the whole front with screen $600 bucks for part. Both her and Cooper rip off trim off the wall while at it and chew the shelf. I guess they figure why not, might as well finish the job?

My female U2 is abnormally big for her size, she almost as big if not as big as my friend M2 and not fat at all. She has large chest muscles and is stronger than even my male U2. She scary powerful for a U2. The problem is she can destroy about any cage without to much issues. She been through 3 cages since I had her and not cheap ones, but kings cages. She rip the welds of one and took the play top off, broke the bars on another and bend the metal food door. The stainless steel one is holding up as thicker bars, but she figured out the food holder as it spring loaded. She figured if she pop it up quick enough she can knock the pins out of place and push it out. She flighted, so she get into everything.

She out of the cage when I off all day and out in the morning and when I come home. She just hate cages as she always escapes them since I got her from day one. Baby since the day I bought her home, always hated cages, tablets and phones. The diagnostic scanner looks like a overbuilt tablet. I actually surprise she manage to crack the internal screen and chew some of the rubber off the front case. It is designed to take abuse. Thankfully repaired it to new condition but cost $600 on parts. She also broke my old lg g7 thinq back and front screen in one bite while on my shoulder. It was in a heavy duty otterbox case. I can’t have her on me while on the phone as she start talking and get piss start arguing and becomes large with wings out and snaps. She hates phones, tablets especially, to the point if she see one she fly to it to throw it. She get jealous and thinks they are taking attention away from her?

My male U2 could careless and don’t get angry, or destroy stuff like she does. He Definitely has a more calmer demeanor. Don’t get me wrong Baby a great companion and usually behaved, to the point I use her to train other people how to handle and approach Birds when they thinking about adopting one, she well socialize and forgiving. She just way to smart and is a professional escape artist and gets into stuff.

have you tried positive reinforcement trying with phone? It worked for my GCzc who would tell my phone no, and attack me ir the phone. She loves safflower seeds, so I used those with phone till she let go her hateful phone ways

Sorry ParrotGenie, but I couldn't help but laugh my head off when reading about Baby's antics despite the considerable cost to you for this giggling episode.. Now this is precisely why I will always observe our Cockatoos in the wild and NEVER entertain the thought of adopting one into our home . It was difficult enough trying to get the resident Cockatoos to stop eating our wooden deck!

I FEEL for you...Hubby and I took stock the other day and can count on one hand the shirts WITHOUT holes! The place has gone to the birds since we've retired. I keep pulling out shirts and putting them in the 'going to town' pile. After one or two wears they end up in the 'work shirt' pile.

Martina! I'm aghast that you could possibly accuse HRH (my niece) of such terrible wrong doings! Surely it was the neighbors cat at fault again!

Well, Freedom's cage got scooched back a smidge here and a eensy bit there over time without anyone really noticing(except her), so... the wall. She has chewed a hole in the wall. <facepalm> I heard a weird noise and looked over to see the little dragon attempting to tunnel out like a convict. plus she managed to grab hold of a couple of brand new HEPA filters we were about to install, so those got chomped too.

Lately? Bearer of bad news. Nothing.

That's not to say Meisha doesn't have a marveled destructor mode.

About four weeks ago I put Meisha inside my heavy coat to protect her from sudden temperature variations, as we were headed to work. The garage is often quite cold this time of year. She has a fascination with buttons and knows it's an issue. However she is drawn to them like a moth to a light bulb. She avoided the maneuver that results in a sliced button and ended up separating the center from the button:

Several years ago she poked a whole in a blind slat. Was unable to find it this morning. Had intentions to take a photo.

Six years ago, in preparation for an overnight campout, I prepped and stocked her cage, leaving the padlock hanging on the side. Latches do not contain her, so she got out and roamed the house unrestrained, however returned to her cage to relieve herself. The only mess to contend with was from the damage where she chainsawed in two areas:

Repair was relatively easy.

We also have one of those cage destruction stories. In 1990, about six months after acquiring Meisha, I complained twice to the company where I purchased the cage at my office. The issue was with nine welds Meisha had snapped. They replaced it with an equivalent unit, same model:
