I saw that and was thinking about getting a few because I live down in a basement apartment. As you can tell its not best when it comes to Air and lighting.

So if this can help with the air quality and be safe would it be worth it? does anyone else have one of these and does it really work or more of a gimmick?

Wow, never seen that before, but I do know that air purifiers with ionizers are not good for birds. I'm sure salt can't be the same as what a machine does though... so I do not know if this will be ok but maybe someone else can tell you.

I have one, it was given to me as a gift....

doesn't do anything just looks like a lit up rock.

Yup it's not an air purifier, it's marketed as a new-ageish piece of decor that's supposed to "purify the space" by means of hocus pocus. They are attractive lamps but they don't emit very much light (bulbs). They're pretty cheap at places like tjmaxx/home goods. It's just pinkish salt, an electric cord and small bulb.

I don't know any of it's holistic properties but I do know that that is exactly the type of salt I use every day in our salt grinder and it's tasty lol
