I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the rope of your choice and build it yourself! It's easy but will take a bit of time! I build a small one for my GCC's. It was cool to see the final product that would normally sell for $50.00 or more and it cost me $10.00 in rope. Also I recommend using "superior cotton rope".

Holy Smokers ! Where have you been ? How is Shelby ?
Hey , didn't the guy that invented the Shelby ( I think ) die recently , didn't he ?

I just looked at some on the My Safe Bird Store site. (Link at top of page)

are the nets safe for birds?

one bird store i went to asking for the net told me birds get hurt, tangled, and caught in the nets with their wings and feet. i like those nets but i wasn't sure if its a good toy.

If you make or purchase a net made of the Superior Cotton Rope that I linked a few replies up, they should be ok although birds should always be monitored. I would never leave them on the net while I leave home. The Superior Cotton rope is made to "break away" if toes or such get caught.

You can get it elsewhere too. I have used it before and can say that I will buy it again!

If it's in an aviary you can run rope in parallel across the area; a friend of ours did that. They used the same sort of rope that you use to keep ships in place. (Real tough stuff, not sure what it was called though)
