RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Thought we might try a different form of discussing Off Topic stuff. Nothing more than a free stream of consciousness, something you are doing Right Now, or within the current day. Can be an event, frustration, observation, anticipation, anything you feel comfortable disclosing in public. Of course all of the traditional forum rules apply, and self-censorship of details considered TMI is appreciated. This thread does not replace creating a new topic for items that involve repeated contribution and quoting of discussion.

Have fun!!

I have awesome neighbors!! Today was bird cage power washing day, and my front gate was accidentally left ajar while routing a hose to the washer. I had no idea, but my Great Dane and Schnauzer escaped undetected!! When the phone rang my reality came crashing back to earth! A neighbor about 3 blocks away found Missy the Schnauzer barking on her front lawn. Well, if she got out..... did a quick search and found my Brussels Griffon, but not Annie the Great Dane! While throwing on some presentable clothes to rescue Missy and search for Annie, the phone rang again, this time the caller had Annie. She was driving 2 blocks from my house and saw Annie walking aimlessly. Took her in the car, and proceeded home to make a call.

Took my animal "escape van" and picked them up! Gave Annies savior some money for a car wash to remove Annie's slobber and fur, but Missy's temporary family refused anything.

Thankfully my dogs are rescues so they are chipped, have collars with ID tags, and are friendly.

OK, well that was my contribution for the day. Most entries will be very short, perhaps a sentence or two.... sort of like a Tweet!

I just spent the afternoon making a slow cooked curry for dinner this week and cooked some rice and quinoa for the birdies. Now to have a little afternoon nap before hubby gets home from work.

Browsing parrot forums. ;)

Just got done a nice motorcycle ride to the gym, back home. Unfortunately about to file for an extension on the contract for the home I'm buying, since the loan process is taking forever.

Getting ready to leave the house in 2 seconds ;). Meeting up with a good friend that I've had since high school. She is in Oregon, and we see each other about twice a year when she comes down to see family.

Slow to start but my plans are to groom a yorkie, spend the afternoon with my flock and hopefully get some serious housework and cage cleaning done.

Sitting in a dark hole in a prison.... watching the nice sunny day outside....(where my bike is parked) wishing I wasn't here and out going for a ride!

just checked birdies room and their cages:orange::greenyellow::green2:
right now having a cigarette
and also watching movie " The Butterfly Effect "
:)

At the moment, I'm regretting my decision to bring a glass of juice down to the birdroom. I am surrounded by a flock of vultures, staring at me and licking their beaks.

Met some cousins for a nice leisurely lunch. Had one of my favorite dishes.... fish tacos. One salmon, one mahi-mahi.

I'm getting ready to put the Fids back in their cages and go eat some pizza and get caught up on OITNB:) It is a great day so far!

Getting ready to workout to get my day started :)

Guess you are getting an early start! You posted at 2044 on the U.S. west coast; assume you are 9 hours ahead of us!

Slept for about two hours last night. I've had terrible insomnia the last few weeks, and it figures all the birds have gone bonkers and are awake at 6am! I've been getting up, feeding them (sometimes with a few bribes) and trying to fall back asleep while they're distracted.

I've also been trying to nap out on the couch since everyone is usually quiet when they can see me.

Other than that, just the usual existential crisis going on in my head!
