What are some of the cute things your birds do?

Remi can be really particular about eating a hard cracker. He loves to dip it into water. It is so cute to see him dunk it a few times, lol. He also puffs up his head feathers if he doesn't like someone or something. It really isn't scary, it's just darn cute, lol.

When my blue crowns are in a full out mutual preening session. They look so cute as they seem to be enjoying it so much.

And when Rosco gets protective over Tootsie when I am near her. But it is really just a lot of bluff. I call it his "Puff 'n Bluff" mode. His head gets all boofie and he acts like he is going to bite my hand off. But if I move towards him, he is like "Never mind! It was all a mistake."

Noodles will randomly decide she wants to do "upside-down bird": I always ask first and if it is a "no", she moves to my wrist, but if it is a "yes", she stands on my fingers and I swing her 4 feet or so in the air while she hoots upside-down lol. She also tells me when she is ready for bed (which I love) and loves certain music.

Hmm. When it comes to conures; cute = manipulative. lol. Cuteness, hmm, where do I start? lol. Pretty much everything he does is cute, which I'd imagine must be very hard work to remain so cute constantly. The kissy noises when he wants something, the tongue wagging when he wants juice (that one is just priceless). I think his cutest feature is they way he communicates with me. It blows my mind how much rapport he and I have. There is a catch to it though, I can't just jump up whenever he says jump. I've had to teach him patience so that he doesn't start acting like I'm controlled by remote.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention his 'napping' on my shoulder as one of his cute things.

Appie all of a sudden decided: "if it aint swingin' it aint worth perchin' on ".

A few weeks ago I was redecorating the cages and Japie absolutely does not like swings of any type (just like Sunny- though I think in her case it is because she has nooooo idea what to do with them and how to not fall off) so on a whim I gave Appie one...
(a boing-type)

She has not left it exept to sleep in her usual corner.
I just turned and found her swinging upside down on the end of a rope .. her newfound way of safely investigating a new-to-the cage shallow carboardbox I placed there this morning for demolishing/toy purposes.
(too shallow and open to be interesting as nestoption)

She wil actively propell the swing in my direction to grab some treats and even get some very short scritches.

My GCC, Callum, does so many adorable things. As a user mentioned before, I'm sure it's a "if I be cute, I get something awesome." sort of deal.
Despite being flighted, he loves to waddle around on the floor and eat stray rat food, or food he's chucked out of his cage. If I'm sitting on a chair and he isn't on my shoulder, grooming my hair, he's picking at my toes. He does this with guests as well. I have a case manager and she has a toe ring. He was infatuated with her toe ring!
Of course, there's the begging. If I'm eating something, he tries to steal a bite from me. He had some steamed white rice last night and he didn't know how to eat it. He couldn't hold it well enough, so he get set it down and munched on a few grains at a time.
If I'm drinking water out of a bottle, the evil green cap must be attacked.
If I set anything down near Callum's cage, he must crawl out of his cage, throw it from his area onto the floor, and then go back to his cage.
Despite having a perch at his water bowls, he has to dip his food in his water bowls while he is hanging from the side of his cage, upside down.

If I sneeze, a screaming fest ensues. Then I laugh with his screaming and then he does my cackle back at me, which then causes more cackles from him. I can't tell you how many guests have been cry-laughing because of Callum's cackles. He also know if he cackles, it'll get me to cackle more, so he then cackles even more.
If I'm laughing really hard at something, I don't really make any noise for a little bit (I know, I'm weird), so Callum will cackle for me.

My Joey, the cherryhead conure, she's 27 and her entire life she's had her cage covered at bedtime until we get up the next day. When I cover her she always says "nite nite" over and over.

Kiwi is clipped and doesn’t know how to fly, so he’s dependent on us to get around. I like when the foot goes up for a ride and if it is not noticed or ignored, it starts grabbing for you lol.

It’s also super cute how he sometimes gets in this mood where he’ll roll onto his back with a toy or hang from the roof of his cage by one foot with a toy in the other foot and just shake his head/face his wings in absolute birdie excitement overload:D

That sounds super cute!

Remi is not clipped, well his flight feathers have all grown in from last year when they clipped him at the pet store. He still gets taxied around because he is too lazy to fly, lol.

Well, the ol' Rb is endlessly amusing/endearing in my eyes. How can I choose?
I guess it has to be the bell thing. Al (Wrench13) sent a tubular bell to the Rb a few years ago, and it has become the bird's prized possession.
I never miss an opportunity to show it off.
Luv ya, Al!
Ring that bell, Rickeybird, ring that bell!

LOL, Gail, he loves to hate it just like Salty does. I think he would burst if he couldn't have his daily argument with his bell.

Cute.... is when I walk in the door at night and I am greeted with "Hi Daddy!".

Not sure if it is cute...but Sunny started to yell/call at me in patagonian after those vids of the RB.

(She is a bit lower voiced because of the size difference...but I think the RB has another admirer!! Gail: are you really, really sure you do not need another insane parrot? )

My conure will do this when I get home and take him out of his cage. He's in the highest corner, so it's always an awkward moment when I try to position my hand for him to step up.
He doesn't grab me when I ignore him, but he'll just keep his foot in the air like "I'm waiting"

Remi will start "humming" with me if I mumble a tune. It's hilarious!

Al, old sport, that bell is part of the lifestyle here, indeedy.

Well, Christa, all I can do is apologize and........................ add................. that...................... no, we do not need another insane parrot! lol
Anyways, our POTUS has said that our country is full, no more immigrants, so...................

Let's see:

Ollie: When he disapproves of something he does this beak chewing noise we call the "chew chew". He isn't scared or anything when he does it, he's basically just saying "hey...that's not how to bird!". He's a very by the rules sort of fellow. He will also cuddle with me sometimes and go unded my neck and just sit there while I stroke his head.

Paris: She's a sweet but very jumpy little person. We give our birds like a half tsp of seeds a day as a treat at 6pm. Paris gets SO excited she literally runs all over her cage top as fast as she can pacing back and fourth until I give her the seed bowl. She is 3rd in line to get them so she does it for quite a while. I love how cute she looks when she is on her back...she let's me put her on her back anytime and will accept neck scratches and closes her eyes. Sweet girl.

North: She has a lot more in common with Ollie... she's a bit of a grumpy little thing sometimes. If I do something she doesn't like she'll cuss me out for like at least 5 minutes or so. She just keeps going on and on...not really screaming but just telling me something lol. She also is very sweet and just likes to curl up in my hoodie and have her beak tickled.

Finley: Man oh man did they broke the mold with him. If you just look at him you die of cute poisoning. He'll just stand there looking at me with his foot in the air or if I'm offering treats to the other birds he'll rush down to the edge of his play top to give me a kiss. If I have a pistachio I can just say "come give mommy a kiss" and he'll come down and kiss me! When it's bed time he will also come down to his play top and arrange himself on my shoulder as I'm having Ollie step up to go to their sleep cages. I find that to be very cute and smart of him. He is so cute and always lets me stiff him as much as I want and never bites me face haha. Finley is REALLY smart. I just wish he would stop being so afraid of the couch! Lol.
