Went to Bird Paradise this weekend! They have a whole consignment room, and they had a beautiful male eclectus in one cage and a gorgeous female in the cage next to him. It breaks my heart to see the two of them in there! Especially since eclectus parrots are known for preferring a calm household. They were with about 15 other screaming birds. I went up to the female, and she was talking to me right away. She said hello and pretty bird. The male just made cute little squeaking noises, but he was friendly and let me touch his beak. They were both in perfect feather. I'm not sure why either one was given up, but they want $650 for the male (born in 2005) and $1200 for the female (born in 2004). I'm not sure why the prices are so different, but I know they are negotiable. They seemed to be comfortable being next to each other, so I think they may even make good companions! Maybe they would sell them cheaper as a pair. I just thought I would let the forum know about these two! It breaks my heart to see them on consignment. Here's a photo:
