Blue Crown Conures: Tootsie and Rosco.
Senegal Parrot: Sidney.

Senegal Parrot: Kelly.
"Fly free, little ones. Love and miss you."
Sidney had his checkup today and I'm happy to say that no blood was shed from either the vet or the technician. Not for lack of his trying. He knew what was up. When I handed him off to the vet he was in full attack mode towards that hated towel. He did good, though. No squealing or complaining. But somehow he kept getting a wing free to smack the vet in the face. It was a bit comical.

The little bugger is putting on some weight, though. 162 grams. Less fruits and more veggies in his diet for a while. And I got to check the accuracy of my gram scale. I was getting results around 150ish so I was a bit surprised.

All in all, a healthy little Senegal of close to 8 years old. Healthy body and healthy Senegal attitude.

The look of "how DARE YOU take me to the vet?!"

Glad he's healthy and happy!

Glad to hear Sidney is doing well :). 162g, does he play football? LOL. Makes my Pois look puny!

He must have been chomping down and stuffed himself before I came home to get him. I borrowed some weights at work that are used to confirm the calibration of scales and checked mine and found it was reading three grams high. This morning it said he was 150 so that would put him in the high 140's.

It is funny how pois feel like such solid little things. He is smaller than the blue crowns but because he is so stocky he always feels like he weighs more than they do.

Wow, sounds like the vets scale needs calibration also! Yeah, solid little guys with the oversized beak too ;)

Cute photos of Sidney, he does look a little annoyed! Glad to hear his check up went well.
