Let me introduce you all to our baby blue front Amazon. She will be coming home at the end of January. She is yet to be named so i will be focusing on that now. :green:

Congrats on your new baby.

 Holy cuteness overload alert! WOW, Amanda, that is one GORGEOUS BF baby! SO much color already. I just want to scoop her right up and snuggle. :D

You made THE most excellent choice when picking out your present.

How wonderful! I feel so happy for you. I acquired my baby Blue front 2 months ago and I'm loving her to death already! Best of luck to you and your Blue Front! :D :D

She is so precious! And just look at all that beautiful blue on her:D Many congrats on your beautiful baby!

What a Christmas present!:) She is so cute! Any ideas on names? That's always the fun/tricky part........:D

Aww...how beautiful! Congrats!!

I can't help but think 'Nell Blue' as in ' nel blu dipinto di blu' out of 'Volare' by Frank Sinatra. (It means 'into the blue-painted blue'). Works if you're a Sinatra fan... :D

Bluebelle
Maisie/Mazie
Splash
Curacao (sort of goes with 'Bundii')
Patricia (well... it's a good name... serves me well enough! LOL!)

Wow Amanda! Talk about the gift that keeps on giving, she's perfect, you chose well! What a little sweetheart and so beautiful.

Amanda, she is gorgeous!!!!!! I am in serious love here:)
What a wonderful Christmas present:)

Wendy, it was her colouring that drew me in straight away. There were some others that had almost over the top personalities but this little one was just so quiet and calm. She loved just being held. I hope it stays that way. :)

Congratulations Amanda! :D Wow, look at all that blue! What does Bundii think? If she hasn't seen her, she must know of another parrot in the house!

Some BFA have more blue and less yellow, some have more yellow - both dark and light yellow with less blue. Different subspecie?

The baby will hopefully be home by end of January. Hopefully. It depends on the baby of course. The breeder is located roughly 8 hours from us so there will only be a couple of visits.

I think the only subspecie that we have in Australia is aestiva.

Just another one of cuteness overload - even if I do say so myself.

Then this little guy. He could not be left out. All he wanted was to have his picture taken. Don't mind the mess of his face-it had not long been lunch time.

Awww, she's a little gem isn't she? What about Gemma?

Beautiful! I wish my Christmas presents could be as awesome as her! Lucky you!
As for names, she's got a very refined, feminine look about her. Something ladylike would fit well.

Update on the new baby. :D :D :D

The breeder thinks it will be about 3 weeks until she is weened.:D This of course puts us right where hubby is working on weekends (he is a rostered shift worker) so I might have to wait an additional 2 weeks. :( I need hubby to come with me as it is a 8 hour drive to get the baby and that is just one way.

We have also decided on a name. Her name will be Millie. I really liked Daisy but hubby said that is a duck name.
