We have a new baby!!!

While my daughter and I were in our local bird shop buying food, we walked into their aviary as usual. Sitting on a perch was the most beautiful pineapple GCC! My daughter picked him up and he immediately made his way up her arm to nestle into her neck. He's almost 2 months old, and he makes the cutest little baby chirps you've ever heard!

We weren't planning on getting another bird, but this precious little baby picked US!

Now we need to figure out a name for him (DNA tested). Pictures to follow soon!!

I'll be naming my new baby eclectus Zephyr. But I was also pondering naming him Kiwi, Reed or Puck. My daughter named her sun Loki, but also liked Helios, Orion, Cayenne and Drake.

He's very handsome! If we ever get a male we like the name Gonzo! Conures do sometimes resemble Gonzo from Sesame Street!.

Congrats on your new baby. He should make a lovely pet. My first bird picked me in a pet shop (I had no plan to buy a bird that day) and it was lovely to have that close bond right from the start. Good luck with him.

Thanks everyone! Right now he's sitting in the palm of my hand 'cleaning' my fingernails and trying to pull the diamond out of my wedding ring.

I appreciate all the suggestions on names. I've jotted them down and will see which one my daughter likes. After all, he picked her!
