Watery stool and eating own feces?

Lately I've noticed my IRN eating his own feces a lot and when he was outside his cage today he started doing watery ones.

Is this anything to be concerned about?

Maybe a mineral deficiency? Do you feed pellets at all and watery poop could be from lots of fruit. List what you have been feeding please?

You could make a CAV appointment.

for starters he shouldn't be eating his own poop

Watery poo is cause for concern. Time to make an appointment with an Avian vet

Eating poops is very bad for your parrot, and means clean up after him quickly so he does not have a chance to. If he is not eating a lot of fruit, the water poops is also not a good sign and he should be seeing a Avian Certified Vet ASAP. If he has been eating a lot of fruit, his poops may be a bit watery, but I would be reducing the fruit and concentrating on fresh veggies and a good quality pellet.

The poop seemed to become more firm pretty quickly, while he was still out of the cage infact.

He doesn't eat a lot of fruit, there's dried pieces in his food bowl but he doesn't show much interest in them. I gave him some cucumber a few days ago but he's just been eating his regular parrot food mix and millet since then.

Lincoln use to eat his feces too. id stop him when I could and clean up etc but I never really found out why and nothing really came out of it, he just stopped.

Could this be a stress related behaviour? it was around when I first got him.
