Watery poop?

Hi!

So many of you saw my original post about my new sun conure. When we first got him, his poops were watery, which I read happens when they are under stress. They formed in a day or two and have been fine ever since. Until now!!!!

We just moved him to a new room in the house last night - big window, more sun light, etc. however, he just had 2 watery poops. Could this be the reason why? He's also extremely amorous today (all of his advances on me have been ignored/rejected, so I assume he may also be sexually frustrated).

Well congrats on your new little guy! It could be that he's not eating enough pellets. Or that you gave him watery fruit. Lukah's poops are watery if he eats a lot of grapes or apples- this is common. Has he been eating solid food?

If it's only two poops I wouldn't worry at all. Just keep an eye out and if it persists all day or something then it might be worth looking farther into!

The boy LOVES his apples. Holy cow, he does. Pineapple and nectarines as well. He was on an all-seed diet when I got him so we give him 50% zupreem pellets (fruit flavored, to assist transition) and 50% seeds. Today he is all about the red pellets.

He also just had a big piece of pineapple so that's probably why haha. I'm just paranoid!! He has a vet appointment on Tuesday anyway so if things got worse, it wouldn't be the end of the world lol. Thank you!!

No worries then. I definitely would think the fruit is to blame... And that's not a bad thing! Don't worry about being paranoid. I made almost the same exact post a couple months ago when I first got Lukah!
