We have a very friendly B&G where I work (owner surrender. He's been sold to an absolutely wonderful girl that he's crazy about and she's crazy about him. She's doing a payment plan so we're keeping him for the time being.) Anyway, today he decided to pay me a visit behind the register! Just thought I'd share :) he's only done this once or twice before

What a beautiful bird. And it seems lovable too. Glad it found a good forever home. Hope all works out for the bird and thanks for taking it in and finding it a good home.

I'm glad he found a home too. The girl comes in every day for several hours just to play with him until she can take him home.

That's so sweet. She sounds like she will be a good, dedicated owner. If she comes in several hours a day just to see him, imagine how much love and attention he will get when he's home with her? It's nice they will already be bonded by the time she takes him. I bet Cody will be real excited when he finally gets to go home with his new mommy and family:). Always good to hear about a bird getting a second chance.

Here he is playing :) sorry for the shaky camera, throwing things in the air and catching them one handed while taping isn't easy haha

Yes I'm playing with the bird instead of doing my job =P if you want to get technical I do animal care and enrichment is a part of animal care after all haha

Another example of what Macaws are supposed to be like... HUGE PERSONALITIES!

NOT what they are frequently reputed to be, or what they become when poorly trained, and not interacted with enough.

He is adorable. What a fun job!:)

It is a very fun job! Unfortunately I've had to turn in my two weeks because the owner isn't as great as the animals :( hostile work environment kind of thing.

You wouldn't believe how many people we've had come in and get scared because we have a "dangerous wild animal" loose in the store. It's sad but funny the reaction I get when I show those people I can cuddle the "beast" like a baby. They act like I'm some sort of lion tamer.
