Very Sharp Nails

My young cockatiel has very sharp nails even if we trim the tips every couple weeks. I have clipped the quick a couple times and it is very traumatic. I do have a few rough perches in her cage but they don’t seem to help. She is around 6 months old. Any ideas?

Can you try train her to do it? Such as rewarding her with treats each time she interacts with the nail clipper? Keep in mind this will take time and patience.
