just wondering why my guy's ripping apart some vegies instead of eating them does he not realize its food?

Hi there, and welcome. Yes, all 3 of my parrots have played with their food. Sometimes they will eat the insides of a fruit or veggie. My larger parrot I’m pretty sure sucks the juice out of grapes but doesn’t eat the shell. My smaller parrots will toss out fruits & veggies to feed my dogs. It’s rather ridiculous but funny at the same time. Parrots will be parrots!
