Rescued budgie Anna RIP
How many times have you gone to the store to get veggies for your parrot, and you say to yourself as you are picking up a veggies and say I don't like take and don't buy it because you don't like it not your parrot. You're shopping for your parrot not you.
I have done it myself.
Here is a list of veggies I buy for my guys.
1.red pepper šŸŒ¶
2. Green pepper
3 yellow pepper
4. Orange pepper
( I only buy two of these at a time, I switch them up.)
5. Romaine lettuce.
6. Red lettuce
7. Dandelion leafs šŸƒ
8. Bok cho
9. Broccoli
10. Snow peas
11. Green beans
12 carrots with stems.
13. Corn on the cob
14. Sweet potato
( I cook the sweet potato in the microwave)
( now I don't get them all at once I only have 2 parrots. Ijust mix up the group)
Also I make sprouts about once or twice a week.
I use a food processor to finely grind the veggies. I get a bowl and put the veggies in the bowl and mix the sweet potatoes with the veggies.
For Anna I put pellet that grind up to a powder and mix a bunch of that into her mix. To get her to switch to pellets.
And that my chop recipe.

I'm always buying my parrots veggies i don't like, lol , its always for them.
Like I hate cucumber, but I get because they love it. They eat better than me!

Funny! The only thing on that list that I avoid is corn! Not that I dislike it, but itā€™s not the best for human consumption!

Living under the rule of HRH, we have found that he only eats what we eat. Likely that food tester thing -- if we live, he will eat it...

That's a great recipe Tman! Definitely want variety, otherwise they get bored. Just like people!!

A lot of stuff on your list is on mine too.

Ever try beets? I also feed turnip, radishes, different types of zucchini, and God knows what else I find.

Once in a while, I get him the small bag of shredded kale, red lettuce and some other crap, but as a rule, no lettuce. Not much nutrition there, but it sure canā€™t hurt.

I too give my guy corn on occasion, which ainā€™t so nutritious either.

A nice wide group of veggies. Carrots, I learned, need to be cooked same as the sweet tater, or they can't digest them and draw nutrients. I avoid beets, they just stain everything and look nasty. Beet greens is in my current chop mix though. Load up on the hot peppers, hotter the better.

LOL - I'm actually just the opposite! I buy veggies for Francis, hoping he likes them. Then, when he inevitably doesn't, I eat them myself.:p
