I'm thinking of getting this stainless steel cage for Chubby, my GCC. Is the bar spacing ok for a GCC? What does it mean when they say the cage is a knock down cage for easy moving? Is that safe?

Also, is this a legit company? I don't want to pay for stainless steel and find out it isn't really that. Has anyone had experience with this company?

I don't know about the company itself, but as far as the bar spacing... it may or may not be ok. Some green cheeks do fine in cage with 3/4" bar spacing and others may not.

Don't know what they mean by it's easily knocked down... you might want to contact A&E directly about it. As far as I know, the cage is held together by bolts, but I've never had a stainless steel cage.

Here's the cage on the A&E website.

"ALL Heavy True Welded Design
ALL Completely Knock Down for easy assemble and
take apart for fast and easy moving."

That's a quote from the page, I was wondering what they mean by knock down for easy assemble.

Hmm, Chubby's current bar spacing is 5/8". Ugh, it seems I can't find a good stainless steel cage that is big enough, has a play gym, good bar spacing, and is of a decent price :/

I read that... which is why I recommended contacting A&E directly. Perhaps they can explain it in better detail how it comes apart and is taken apart.

I once looked at purchasing a used cage that required no screws or bolts to put it together. I decided not to purchase it simply because I wasn't sure if it would be an easy cage to move.

This cage has quite a few good reviews... I'm thinking about trying to get Porter this one and slowly getting him used to a larger cage.

I put together a cage, that was a knockdown cage, with no nuts and bolts. Easiest cage to put together! I had my brother help me, took ten minutes. I could have even done it myself. If I had a preferrence , I would only buy these type of cages, very easy to assemble.
