This past weeked my son got Skittles off his cage and into the living room. Here are a few photos from different angles. The BIG fellar in the photos is my son (if he were any better looking, he would be ME! LOL)

Skittles is GORGEOUS!! Great pics.

Yes, his attitude is improving as well. I haven't threatened to deep fry him for over a week. (Which is long for Skittles. )

As you may be able to tell, he is fully feathered. I'm still fighting with the thought of trimming his wings. The local pet store owner says he never trims his bird's feathers because he doesn't want his birds to associate the trauma with him. OK, if it's that traumatic, why do it at all?

This morning he dined on banana, mango and a mini blueberry muffin (the menu list of acceptible foods is finally growing.) And right before I left for work he went back into his cage without having to pull out "THE SHIRT". LOL

I finally taught him a trick that I don't think has ever been taught to a bird. Time travel. After lunch I'll post the pictures! :)

Magnificent! I love looking at the pics displaying his beautiful wing span.

I'm thinking about letting Harley's flight feathers grow out next molt. I think he'd be a more confident bird in that he'd be able to choose new settings to explore and get comfortable with. Right now his comfort area is small, but we're working on that!

These Zons take a time and patience, but once we've earned their trust, they're a delight to behold!

Skittles FIRST real trick! Space/Time Travel!

OK, this is pretty amazing!

Here is Skittles beginning to move:

As he picks up speed he takes a more steamlined posture:

Here is where the speed of his movement reaches the point right before he begins to separate from this dimension into the next:

I would show you a picture after he disappeared, but that would be silly ... he wouldn't be there!

So, the next photo is of Skittles as he returns to our dimesion. As you can tell the face and head are not quite fully back.

Here is Skittles, back to our dimension, relaxed as if nothing had happened at all:

Based on the computer chip we imbedded in his wing, Skittles was gone for two weeks; however, his return was timed so as to return him to Jay's hand a split second after the time in which he left.

It really is absolutely AMAZING to see Skittles in action! I'm positive you will all agree.

Thanks,

forbey

I'm shocked and amazed!

I ended up with all of those partially out-of-focus pictures and blurry pictures, so I made a story out of them. With almost 100 views I figured someone would comment on the new trick ... not a bite! Too funny!
