Wendy Huntbatch is the woman who ran the rescue. She passed away leaving over 600 birds with no where to go .

Appears they have a home for at least a year.

The discussion regarding banding transport and 'ownership' of exotic animals is an on-going battle. With those wanting to do so in a much stronger, better funded, and far more organized position.

I fully understand the reasons for the Parrot Forums want and need to maintain separation between itself and other groups. Having stated that there is good reason for a relationship between the Parrot Forum and the Avian Vet's Association. Just my two cents!

I would like to first of all say that Im glad that these birds have found a safe haven and I hope that people will continnue to provide them with a safe haven for the rest of their lives.
Secondly to the 96% of people who agreed that exotic pets should be banned I would like to inform all of you that I dont like you very much and and that all 96% of you are banned from my home for life or until you change your views... obviously all 96% of you have never met my Mr Biggles (WFA) Peter Pan (Quaker) and Elsa (Budgie) as they would have informed you that parrots can indeed make the very best companionions of all

They only have the new place until Dec. of this year. Hopefully they will be able to find homes for them by then.
