Lilo - Female Green Cheek Conure ~ Pal - male cockatiel ~ Pheobe - female cockatiel
Well I have been working there for a few weeks so now my boss had me work with the Macaws and Amazons  and a Muluccan Cockatoo named Lilo :D Well I made wonderful friends with two blue and gold macaws named Maggie and Joey! I did not make friends with two blue and golds and a green wing who's names were Mr. Bean, Rexie, and Bugsy! I didn't know they could be so scary! I had to feed all 20 of them so there were a few parts were I thought I would come out with one less finger.... But other then that I sang a duet with a blue fronted Amazon who's name is Bella. That was fun! :) I cuddled a brown headed picephalous (not sure if I spelled that right...) named Oliver. So I had a wonderful time again and I did come out with all ten finger! :D

Yeah, a dominant, territorial greenwing is a force to be reckoned with, eh?!

That will get your attention. That's the kind I started out working with...

Yes he is something! He is naked on his chest due to plucking :( but he has his friend Rio the double yellow headed amazon who calms him. I like to talk to him but I definitely don't try to touch him! The owners of the rescue feed him!

Sounds like a lot of fun and definitely a noble effort to care for and possibly re-home those cast-off parrots.

Well, the fun part is watching a bird like the greenwing she describes above, transform from feathered buzz saw that no one can handle, to mushy lap bird...

They really do bounce back with time, and trust, and proper care.

All living things respond to love.
