According to the breeder Max is 2 months old today....
He stopped his hand feeds, when he started to fledge, which was at 6 weeks old... After his first refusal I kept trying for 3 days, then I gave up... He's eating all types of fruit, vegies, sprouts and a good seed mix. I came home with some fruits today, and he attacked the bag with apples in it - just couldn't wait for me to open it for him... He hadn't had apples for 2 days... lol
He is no longer flying into walls/windows/doors (I nearly clipped his wings at that stage), but still a bit clumsy at times... He only seems to fly off his energy in the mornings, probably because he's still so young. He'll sit on his T-stand and flap his wings like crazy, nearly lifting the stand off the table... The stand weighs 1.25kg...
Now, if I can teach him to just sit there and flap his wings, I won't need a fan... lol
He loves his showers, and so far has been happy with just the spray from me showering... Not today! He wanted the full force of the shower, and I actually had to turn it off before he had enough...
