Good night Everyone,
I hope this finds you well. It's been 7 days since I ve had kiwi with me and thought I d share a photo from today. She's my little bundle of joy, my only concern is she crashes into things when attempting to land, anything I can do to help, I m worried she may get fractures from her collisions. Thank you.

look at that little booger bird! I think baby birds are pretty durable, they can't fly fast enough to really hurt themselves. Of course that didn't stop me from worrying every time the tangobird crashed into something!

Try not to worry too much. Kiwi will soon learn how to land gracefully, without crashing. :)

She sure is a little cutie! Have her feathers improved at all?

Agree with Jersey Wendy, kiwi will learn to land properly soon enough. When tango was learning to fly he couldn't turn yet so hed just slowly fly in a straight line until he reached an obstacle. The only thing you could do is catch him out of the air by putting out a finger under him while in flight and triggering the perch reflex. It was so funny he'd look around all confused like "hey! what happened?!"

What a cutie, thank you for sharing!!!

Hello Everyone :)
Thank you for all the kind responses. Kiwi is doing well, her flying is improving she can now hover and land on objects, I m quite pleased about that, the crash landings startled me. She had her first bath yesterday and enjoyed herself immensely. I have been busy with building her amuck larger flight cage, it's taller than I am, pictures as soon as its delivered and a week has elapsed for the paint compounds to dissipate. Please enjoy the following pics and thank you very much. Have a lovely day. Take care :)
