Some of you might remember I stepped away from being a Mod (and, basically, from the forum) a few years ago in order to return to study. I've been studying Latin, but last trimester there were no Latin units on offer so I decided to pick up a unit of maths, which I've always enjoyed and used to be good at.
I got my results today and I'm SO astounded, I just have to share. My mark was 96 out of 100 and I earned a high distinction in line with my Latin marks.
I guess I really am blowing my own trumpet (SO sorry about that), but my best fan ever, my little Mum, is no longer here to share my happiness. I'm so full of the good news, I just had to share it here. And laugh! Heeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheee!
I went into the exam feeling off and with a headache. I lasted an hour and didn't really check my paper all that thoroughly before leaving an hour early (had spots in front of my eyes), so I assumed I'd get a bare pass. LOLOLOLOL! I can't stop laughing! It's the last thing I expected. I'm SO happy!
Forty-four years ago, I had just discovered I was about to become an unwed teen Mum. My life was on fire. I failed all my subjects at Uni, but swore I would go back and do better. I re-did all the other subjects but never did get the chance to revisit maths until 2018. I hope you can understand that my joy is largely because I fulfilled my promise to myself.
Heeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheehee!
