My neighbour has a lovely rosella as a pet. They aren't usually thought of as a suitable pet because they tend to have a wild streak even when bred and hand fed in captivity. He was a notorious biter and about to be rehomed after almost a year of biting. I recommended she wear heavy gloves when handling him and when he did bite the gloves not to react in anyway. In less than a fortnight this 'blood thirsty' (her description) was making notable progress. He's still possessive of his cage which you have to respect, but now is handled daily, climbs on shoulders, and even plays with the grandkids. Also, when ever you work with your parrot try and keep a neutral or happy face and voice as parrots read faces and emotions better than any human. Hope this helps.
