So for 2 hours today I decided to slave away in the kitchen to treat the birds by making them a gourmet feast. I made, long grain brown rice, corn, peas, green beans, carrots, chicken, noodles, and scrambled eggs. So let's start with my TAG: Dezi absolutely loved it, she ate a little bit of everything and absolutely enjoyed every bite. Now my GCC: Baby just didn't even care, she didn't even want to take a single bite of anything, she never even went near the dish. And finally my BFA: Cookie was just a little brat about it, he picked out the noodles, eggs, chicken, and some of the veggies and just threw them on the floor of his cage, he normally loves all of those things but when I take the time to prepare it just for him, oh then he doesn't want it. I even took the birds food away from 2pm-7pm to ensure they would much down on there dinners but even then baby and cookie just acted like brats! Oh but I can't stay upset with them for any amount of time, there just so darn cute... Lol! I for sure thought they were going to love every bite, but I guess not. I will just start making things for Dezi and make cookie and baby watch him eat it! Let's see how much they want it then, Lol.

Oh, I feel your pain.. Lol. You do feel a bit disheartened when you see your hard work go to waste, but they'll quickly munch the nearest junk food left unsupervised. But! You love them. They know it, you know it, and we know it. And yes.. they are too darn cute to be mad at. ;) just keep trying, and eat it in front of them. They'll get curious.

I apologize for laughing, but my parrots turn up their beaks and insult my cooking skills quite often. The good news is, when you get it right, they reward you by forgetting to be fussy and diving into their bowls beak first.

Happens to me too!!! Raw carrots fresh out of the fridge? YAY

A cooked up beautiful chop…. ew mom it's warm no thank you!!

Don't take it personally, birds are notoriously fickle. Some foods are "universal" and always enjoyed, others are like frenemies; enjoyed one day and jettisoned another.

I've learned to consistently offer foods that are ignored as one day they may become a favorite. Or not!
