I took in Maisie about four months ago and I believe she's about 10 months of age (there is some discrepancy between what her breeder said and what my vet thinks, so there is some uncertainty - but I do not believe she's matured sexually, yet.) She has had one mini-molt at the start of summer but still hasn't had a full molt - her flight feathers were (over) clipped before I got her and they haven't been replaced.
Attached is a recent picture of her. From what I've seen, the classic turquoise GCC has darker/grey bellies. I know they can go through some significant color changes as they mature, but I was curious whether there's some variation in color between individuals. I was curious what other's experiences were with molting and color changes in GCCs. Is she likely to change significantly with her first full molt or is this likely the color she'll be?
Obviously, it won't matter in the long run - it's just a curiosity!
