I do not recommend any Pellet that is colored! At some point, your Parrot will select all of one color and you will be in a made rush to the Avian Vet's Clinic because of nothing more than colored pellets that causes strange colored Bird Poo!. Also, the color does nothing positive for your Parrot.

- No Coloration
- Low or no Salt
- Low or no Sugar
- Human Grade Processing Facility

This will at least provide you a means to sort between what is available.

Many folks cringe at peanuts being in there, the risks are real! My concern is the first ingredient is corn! Ya, I live for popcorn, JoJo and I eating some now, but for a main diet?...
Rule 1, The best food is what they eat! My JoJo will only eat Zupreem fruit in the morning, hanging with me. If I put it in his food bowl, it is ignored!

Do you mean the Hari Tropican mix? I used to give it to my conure and she loved it. The tropimix blend is a pellet, seed and nut mix that contains peanuts (these days people will tell you to avoid, there a fungus that naturally occurs on the inside of peanuts so it's completely worth avoiding).
I did switch my bird to Harrison's pellets this year as I can afford it and I acknowledge that it is better but I personally see/saw no problems with the Hari Tropican pellets, they are naturally coloured with green from chlorophyll rich plants and orange/brown from carotene (if I'm remembering right). If money were more of an issue I'd use Hari Tropican again.

Ok thank you :) I'm going to keep them mostly on roudy bush mixed with the the tropimix my babies seem to like it but I'm also going to try to add fresh foods to there diet more often also I haven't been to good at doing that.

I give my conure colored pellets and he does have favorites...but he tends to eat all of them. I think they add it to entice and I dunno I don't see harm in it since he doesn't favore one color exclusively, he seems more interested in the shape, the long banana shaped green or yellow ones over the stars or nuggets or whatever. I think cause it's easier to hold and nibble on.

As long as it's human safe colouring/pellets then its probably not an issue.

Yeah it's FD&C coloring.
