Travel bag? Is that soft?
I read somewhere of people losing their pets in auto accidents because the collapsible wire crates collapsed. Sometimes it kills the animal, sometimes they escape, but it totally scared me off them for the car. I got a plastic dog crate big enough for bird and tail, with all cotton bath mats for padding. But even that has hard sides, and even with the crate secured in place - there are ‘biners that snap into the seat belts - it’s a hard surface with no airbag in a panic stop. A soft carrier sounds much safer. What kind did you get?
