Ok so I have finally found toys that Ruby will play with. She refused any toys with wooden blocks and such. She was chewing on her tail feathers out of boredom. I had ordered a new perch from my safe bird store and they included a few finger traps for free. Ruby loved destroying the finger traps. So I then ordered he some wicker balls and wreaths rings. She destroyed them also. I noticed her tail feathers were looking much better and she was chewing them less. She also loves to chew on straws in our cups if she can get to them. We went to the bird show this past weekend and Hubby found her the perfect toy ( photo attached ) it is a wiffle ball with straws poking out everywhere. She has played with it non stop since. I realize its just a matter of finding out what type of toys your baby wants to play with. They are like children, they will play with what they like, not what you want them to play with.

Such a cute photo! Glad you found so something to keep her occupied!

Great photo! She is so pretty! It can be hard to figure out what toys they like. Audrey has one wooden toy in particular that she loves, I have to keep going back and re-buying it!

I have had to replace the straws in this toy constantly, but she loves it so much, and straws are cheap. I think i'm going to try to use one of her loofa's and stick the straws into it and see if she will play with it that way. kc_y0 mabe you could buy that favorite toy in bulk- LOL we are trained by our birds to give them what they want.

Straws are a good idea, lucky she likes them and they are cheap! HAHA that's true, our birds definitely have us trained!

Scarlets favorite toy. A wooden spoon..go figure. I put a foam flower, then a finger trap, then another flower and she cannot get enough of it. If she drops it she just squaks then looks at it until it is returned to her highness

Sorry as this is a long story. My son was filming a movie in New Orleans and it was storming so he couldnt film and we had to wait it out for a few hours in his trailer. We passed the time by making tissue paper flowers for all the women on set. One of the transportation drivers hired him to make flowers to decorate her Mardi Gras float ( 300 total ). We made them back at home as filming wrapped just prior to Mardi Gras. Ruby destroyed them as fast as we could make them. Hence a new cheap toy was invented.
