Discovery time! Our little Pazu sets off the touchscreen on my tablet, feet and beak.
Anything else your parrots set off?

Yep, Pazu should also be able to turn on & off his own light if you put a touch surface in the electrical circuit, there are a number a devices where a bird's body's electrical resistance or capacitance will activate.....I just got the girls around here each a pair of resistive gloves so that they didn't have to get their hands cold to operate their phones.....

Hahnzel hasn't figured out yet that her interaction causes the changes on the pad. Yet.

My conure has figured out touchscreen when it comes to virtual koi pond. Every time his beak hits the screen there's splash sounds and darting fish. He also tries to bite them. But that's the only app he'll interact with. :)

Oo, I have an app that pazu might notice. At the moment he sees me on the tablet and wants to play with it, I.e. chew the case its in. He's been very gentle so far and not noticed what he's done to the screen.

Be careful, you & others with emerging tech savvy birds may find teaching their birds the ins & outs of touch screens could quickly find their devices on a replacement/repair service bench form inquisitive beaks.....your devices are not avian toys and some contain dangerous liquids.....

Good point weco. At the moment I just let pazu climb up the tablet when its on my lap, once he (he's ungendered) starts chewing I move him. Also if he looks like he's gunna poop I move him.

Candy Crush is the only game with enough magic to entertain Tach for a few moments; hes actually keen on eating the tablet case rather then licking the screen to move those damn candies but the humans keep cheering at him so he keeps them happy and licks away!

Mango has found a way in the past, to email his friends place orders for birdy toys, and even responses from dating sites:eek:. But, now, he has not been able to figure out my password:D!

Well, I was playing a game the other night with hahnzel happily chewing on the corner of my iPad case. I looked down and saw my troops heading away from the battle we had been winning. She hit the retreat button.

Aandeg the crow was fascinated with images on my iPod. He loved watching videos of other crows and birds. He'd often try to peek behind the iPod to see where they were. He'd talk to them in his sweet little crow voice. He learned very quickly "no touch," something he never learned with my laptop keyboard. :(

My quaker doesn't seem to recognize the images on screen. Not interested at all.
