Too quiet

I've recently lost the last best friend that I had adopted. I thought I would be ok; but definitely too quiet in my house and would love to adopt again. Willing to take troubled birds . Would like a bigger bird preferably a parrot. I live on long Island

Welcome to the forums, @HYPERTT, but I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Many of us here understand the awful quiet that you describe only too well, including me. You can approach avian vet clinics, they sometimes know of birds who need rehoming. And below is a link to our list of parrot rescue centres, even if there isn't one particularly close to you, one of these on the list may know of someone else who is. I hope this is of some help to you
