I decided (and shouldā€™ve long ago!) to do a flock picture thread! Iā€™ll try to post pics as often as I can!

What's the bird with the pointed beak?
Oh! Thatā€™s Milly, sheā€™s a house sparrow, my dad found her in a gas station parking lot.
Sheā€™s missing the flight feathers and tip of her left wing.

Oh! The one who needs a dust bath! What a lucky little girl!

Hard to believe Milly has been with me for 7 months at the end of Feb!
Photo dump! Her tail is shredded, I wish she wouldnā€™t do that but I guess itā€™s because sheā€™s a baby? Well young at least.

Oh she's half the size of my Lovejoy, he was a "hefty" 49 grams at his last vet visit. And ain't it always the way that the littlest ones have the most attitude - mine certainly do. Looking at Milly's lovely little face just makes me smile!

Hopefully, one day I can pick her up or train her to hop onto the scale! I could maybe trick her onto it with some food.
Sheā€™s a funny thing, she loves the color green, especially when she can eat it! Lol!
I follow your thread for Lovejoy! Heā€™s such a pretty guy!

Tee hee, he's chasing the cockatiels around the house right now, he's a quarter of their size but he's got them both on the run. No shortage of sass and/or attitude there!!

I imagine when more like if Milly gets to meet the parrots sheā€™ll chase them too! Hopefully the budgies like her.

Iā€™ll share each of their stories too!
Today, Iā€™ll do Hedwigs. I saw an ad on Craigslist, a blurry pic with that typical little cage from Petco, one dowel, no toys, and she was eating some cheap seed mix. I got her at 2 years old. Shell be 4 years in June.
It surprised me how nice she was almost immediately.
Sad to see a nice bird ignored and alone.

Love her name and that you rescued her to give her a better life!

So many budgies end up where Hedwig was and it's so awfully sad. Thank goodness you found each other - Hedwig is a beauty! šŸ˜

Thanks! She was very rough looking when I first got her, but has molted into a lovely girl.
