Throwing up or vomiting?

Hello!!! I’ve made a post regarding this issue in the past, but it’s happening again. My 8 year old green cheek conure (whom i’ve had since she was a weeks old) “throws up” these seed like things. I’m a nervous bird-mom, so if she does anything that’s not normal, I freak out. I’ve heard that this could be a sign of mating, or that she could have seeds stuck in her throat. Could someone help me out with this? I’m not sure what to do moving forward.

What do you feed him? They look like pepper seeds.

It is spring, it’s likely your conure is regurgitating, which is simply hormonal behavior and nothing at all to be concerned about.

Looks like regurgitation. (Assuming it is) ignore it, it’s a hormonal behaviour at this time of year. You don’t want to encourage it.

In my understanding, actual vomit would look more digested.

Do all the usual like no touching sensual areas (belly, under wings, etc,) no nesting materials, etc to discourage. It & when regurgitation or squatting happen, don’t touch/encourage your birdie. He/she may become testy when you don’t advance, but it’s important not to.

Hi, thank you for your reply! I believe her food is called sunburst, which is a mixture of seeds. I also mix in another bag of food with this, a fruit blend.

Thank you, this makes me less worried. I thought that’s what it was busy im always paranoid when she throws up.

I’m only worried because she screams when i’m not holding her, but as soon as i pick her up, she starts bobbing her head as if she’ll throw up. I want to spend time with her, but all she does is peck my ear and throw up on me.
