Thought on a Playstand

The other day I was at a store and walked past a bladeless fan (http://www.thevine.com.au/resources/imgdetail/dyson_det_101109094754.jpg) and was amazed that it seemed to blow as well as a normal fan. I was thinking that Bob might enjoy it if I built him a playstand out of one. Any thoughts on this?

I'd see if it still blow's effectively if something is obstructing the free space within the circle. If it still does that would be an amazing play stand!

I'd say it's a good idea, but aren't those fans like $300 and up? Seems like it would be awfully costly.

I saw them at the store for around $80. And they blew well with my hand stuck in the middle of them.
