I've had success using a soft sided doggy playpen!
I love this thing; it folds up easily and it gives your bird a chance to get out and about in the hotel room without fuss or a mess, I've been using table top stands as you can't really 'ancor' any stands but...
Its just something to think about.
I don't have a working camera at the moment so I can't take pictures ..

I also wouldn't advise using it unsupervised as most birds are excessive chewers (Luckily Porter isn't)... but when a bird is travelling and in cramped spaces; this might be a better alternative to pulling out the bigger cage!
