Perjo - Female CAG hatch Nov 2015
Hatched on November 25th, 2015.

She was big from day one, and is incredible and such a joy at 13 weeks old. Hopefully get to take her home in about 10 days. She is so friendly and interactive, and has already mimicked two of my whistles and another calling sound I use for her. She seems to be sort of cuddly and has a fit when I put her back in the cage and leave her until my next visit.

How sweet. I'm having flashbacks to when my Grey was a baby, almost 12 years ago now. They are so sweet when they're babies (sweet when they grow up, too) but I love the big, black button eyes and the toddler-like clumsy walk. Enjoy the baby days. They go so quickly.

Perjo's is finally home, she was awesome in the car ride, and has a quiet and almost seemless transition into the house and new cage. She's half an acrobat all of a sudden.

As I type this she is nodding off, it's crazy, I didn't know they took naps.

Done crapped on me 4 times already today, but it's worth it.

Pic is sideways, I know why now though. iphones have a specific way they are calibrated to take pics, hold the phone long ways horizontal with button and port for charging on the right.

She's a lovely girl, really sweet.

I had same trouble and needed to rotate and save the pics before uploading

I'm am so amazed at how well she has behaved since coming home, completely seamless, doesn't make a peep at night, even when I walk by in the middle of the night. She's found her favorite sleeping spot in the cage already as well.

Even though I know every bird isn't fussy or a problem early on, I feel so fortunate.

I bring her out of the cage every hour and a half, for about 35-40 minutes, and she doesn't fuss when I return her to the cage. When she's out she'll make it obvious when she wants to perch on my hand, and she even rotates her head when I'm scratching to make sure I get all the spots she wants scratched, like a dog or a cat.

She goes through all her sounds and mimics the moment I leave the room, until I acknowledge her existence.

She eats everything in her bowl by the time the day is over too.

Oh what a big, sweet girl your Perjo is! :)

Loved the clips on your YouTube Channel, especially this one, as she's thoroughly checking out her new surroundings. :D

Yesterday was the first day I was gone all day, came home to a normal looking cage, normal looking bird, that was certainly happy to see me and a bit needy and insisted on perching on my hand most of the night.

She's been beyond exceptional so far. Sleeps all night, doesn't make a peep and today is eating like a pig. Two trips to her bowl for pellets and has spent ten minutes at least devouring her treat stick with nuts etc baked on it.

Hasn't touched her food foraging toy yet, but that's OK.

So glad I made the decision to get a CAG instead of a dog.

Aw, she is so very adorable and cute! Thanks for sharing photos! Glad everything is going smoothly for you and her.

If I had to pick between a parrot and a dog I'd pick the parrot every time. hehe

Perjo has been making this sound for a few days now, only when she is relaxing and about ready to nap or sleep for the night. She vibrated her tongue on her beak:

Anyone else's bird do this? It's kind of funny and cute all at the same time.

Sounds like contented beak graunching to me - pre bubbyes, wind down.

Probably wondering why you are staring at her.
