A name derived from the only word he can YET say .... peek-a-boo. We adopted Boo from the Spring Branch (Texas) bird sanctuary where he has been for quite some time. He is a great young bird (10 yrs) and after an expectedly shakey first few days, he's settled in pretty well. This is our first bird, but I can tell you that we already love the little guy. He's even fairly comfortable around our five - 5, yes 2+3 rescue mutts. He'll never be alone with them but for the most part they're working hard to ignore one another.

I can tell you that Boo is in for a comfortable and happy life.... no more shelters, just the warm shelter of a loving family.

Peek-a-BOO!

Nice bird. Glad he found a home. Welcome to the wonderful world of mush mac...

Peek-e-boo seems to be a universal.

Dogs don't phase either one of my Big Macs. That probably won't be a problem, except for the bird learning to call the dogs, and/or getting a kick out of dropping food on the floor for them. (Or dropping something else, in a particularly nasty form of birdie practical joke...) It's fairly simple to socialize them.

What a gorgeous Ara Ararauna! Congratulations!

Hi and Welcome! Boo is stunning, love the name! So glad he found a loving home and a new life with you!

Beautiful B&G! We got our BTM from AIB. She was a rehome. Our 4 dogs don't phase her one bit.

Hello and welcome! Boo is gorgeous and I am so happy that he has found his forever home with you:) Glad you joined us!

Beautiful bird. Macaws seem like they would be just too much for me, but they're such intelligent beautiful creatures.
