Hey there! Thanks for reading. Apologies, it's a bit long so I understand if you don't fancy reading it ahaha.
He's literally my best friend in the entire world! There's a fact that Earth has more grains of sand than stars in the sky and I always tell him that I love him more than all of those grains of sand and all of those stars combined. Of course, he looks at me like I'm talking nonsense but he's the best and he reciprocates the love. I can tell he's also just as obsessed with me because he sticks to me like velcro
I'm lucky enough to have a job that allows me to work from home full time which means I get to spend every single day with him. He's even on my work's meet the team page because he's that loved! He can quite often be found napping on me while I work.
Anyway, a bit more about Banks. He's a turquoise Green Cheek Conure. He was born the day after my birthday on May the 5th, 2024. He's currently 8 months old and the friendliest little dude! He can spin on command, he can wave and he very often snuggles into my hoodies, t-shirts and jackets. And he also saw his first snowfall last year and was amazed by it.
He's a bit of a little local celebrity in my hometown after my Avian vet posted a photo of him that reached just over 500 likes which is more likes than all of social media ever I believe
Even my grandmother loves him which surprised me as she has always been very anti-pet. My sister who had a phobia of birds before meeting him has even developed a soft spot. My mother asks how the grandson is when she sees me and he's started to say a few words such as Love you, night night and Hello to them when he sees them which is the cutest!!! My best friend even handmade him his own leather pirate hat for Christmas!
He loves to come in the shower and has now received his very own shower perch to enjoy his spa sessions on.
As thanks for all these lovely gifts, he repays me with ear bites. (Thanks Banks!)
But I wouldn't change a thing. I'll take all the ears bites in the world if it means I get to spend everyday with you.
And a final spin as thanks for reading this!
