Hahn's macaw and red bellied parrot.
Me and Kahn were the only ones awake this am, as the clocks jumped forward an hour, we would have never known the difference!!

Adorable pics, thanks for sharing!

Mine also know no DST, but I'm hoping this means tomorrow they will sleep in until closer to 8am. I've had to be up by 6:45 the last few days because that is when the sun woke them up. I really like a cup of coffee before Rowdy starts with, "Ok. Hello?" and Merlin starts shooting off laser guns (a video game imitation that sounds like laser guns to me).

Have any of you thought in investing in some black out blinds? Completely throwing you guys in darkness until you decide it's time for wakeup.

Lovely pics btw :)

The birds didn't wake me up, however my special needs boston terrier did simply because of his bladder. He is used to going out at 5am when i wake up for work, however the clock said 6AM and he could not wait anymore!

I like the blinds I have in this room as they go with the decor. However, they don't block enough light, and the big window on the front door has no blind on it. And Merlin doesn't seem to respond to light/dark so much with her vision issues, but rather has a little internal clock. When she first came here she was up by 6am daily in pitch darkness, lol! Luckily I got her to start staying up a bit later, and get up a bit later as well.

Rowdy has quite the internal clock, too. At exactly 5:30 every evening she begins yelling for her veggies. It doesn't matter what time of year it is or what the weather is like. She knows it's 5:30, lol!

Horses wake up hungry, too, and I can't block light out of the outside, lol! So I think as long as I have birds and horses, there will be no sleeping in. I have had days where I was very sick, got up, fed and watered them all and went back to bed though.

I heard that. My five ferrets started jingling away when they heard the birds. Between the birds, dogs, and ferrets, also, a salt water reef aquarium.. me thinks i have a zoo!!
