Thinking of an umbrella....already own a macaw.

Aside from all the points made about compatibility you will have to give equal time to both birds. Me personally couldn't see giving Salty less time with myself, he would not like that. I give major kudos to those folks who can work out sharing their time with multiple birds though. It's certainly not for everyone. Good luck!

That's the problem I'm having with Stephen and Romeo.

Stephen just doesn't like having less attention because of some "other stupidhead bird that won't stop screaming! I'm SUPPOSED TO BE THE LOUDEST"

But we're making it work. Mostly by me adjusting my schedule a bit. And just sucking it up and making it happen.

Well my wife will give the U2 more attention and the macaw prefers me so it should be ok. Also, the macaw is pretty independent. He's pretty happy to swing around and goof off on his jungle gym. He still sits and gets scratches from me a couple hours a nite but he really loves his gym.

BAM!! and this is how it starts :) 1 to 4 birds now :)

True pinkbirdy, however, these ring necks are going to a home at some point. Just getting them rehabbed and off to somewhere. I am concerned nobody will want the naked chick. I don't think she will regrow feathers but it's hard to say for the limited time we've had her.

Cotton however is doing really well. He bites the kids some but nothing too hard. He's really sweet to the wife and I but I do keep warning her that this is nervousness and won't last long before the demon spawn of lucofer shows his face in that bird. 24 years old isn't old, he's going to become trouble at some point. She doesn't believe me. I can't wait until she comes and tells me how he did something evil so I can make an evil laugh and run away just like he'll probably do.

Kidding!! Mostly. Hopefully all works out. If there's anyone in Arizona wanting to help with these ring necks we would welcome it. They have taken to the chop nicely and seem to be doing much better. The naked chick...we call her skinny Minnie, started making sounds yesterday. Big improvement. She would still rip your fingers off.

Should hear from the vet soon on blood results on cotton. Then we will slowly introduce them if the vet says it's good.

Just sayin.... lol
