I would prefer to adopt one in need of a home, but hubby would prefer a baby....I explained why I don't really want a baby- there are too many fids out there in need of good homes, and they're usually misunderstood or the owner just simply doesn't understand how to deal with behavior "issues" with these guys

So his compromise is that if I adopt one, it has to be somewhat young-ish.
